A NIGHT OUT

by Sarah Nazish: Golden Corals

It was about twelve O’ clock at night when Tom and Kate got home. Their sister, Jane, had been asleep since eight O’clock and the house was dark and quiet.

“Be very quiet” said their mum. “We don’t want to wake Jane or your grand mother, do we?”

Dad closed the door as quietly as he could and then whispered, “You two are going to bed now. its school in the morning and little boys and girls should be fast asleep by this time of night!”

Kate and Tom hated it when their father called them little boys and girls. They knew he was only trying to make them laugh and they loved him very much, but he could be very annoying at times.

“Come on, get up those stairs and clean your teeth, and don’t run the water too loudly or you will wake people up!” said mum. The brother and sister did as they were told. They were too tired to argue and besides it had been a wonderful evening. First they had been

To a café and had eaten cake and drunk some tea. Next they had been to the circus. The clowns had made them laugh when they tipped water over one another and fell about on the ground and threw custard pies at each other. There had been many animals, but the children’s favourite was the elephant who drank water and then blew it out of his trunk at the clowns. They had never seen mum laugh so much.

After the circus, mum drove them home, but on the way they stopped for fish and chips. Mum didn’t want the car to smell of fish and chips, so they had walked up and down the street eating the hot food out of trays with their fingers. Dad had said that it was the only way to eat fish and chips and the children had to admit that food had never tasted so good.

Now they were back at their house and all they wanted to do was go to bed and think about the circus and fall asleep. Just as they were getting into bed, they heard a loud crashing noise. Kate and Tom ran to the window at once and when they looked out they could not believe what they saw-All the houses were shaking, everything was turning upside down and crashing to the ground. An earthquake had struck. Quickly Tom took out his magic ball and threw it down the road! The crashing immediately stopped. Everybody cheered Tom, but Kate and Jane were still frightened and crying.

When Tom threw the ball an alien came out of the ground and entered the town, everybody got frightened and ran into their rooms and hid under their beds. But the alien quickly caught Tom and Kate! Everybody screamed at once.

Grandmother took out a pin and poked the alien in the eyes, and the alien died instantly. Tom and Kate came running to grandma.

Everybody cheered grandma. The aliens never came back to their lovely town again .All went back to sleep. And they lived happily ever after…….

Little Red Riding Hood - 2C

December 15, 2006

On the 15th of December the 2C students acted Little Red Riding Hood-play in the school assembly. The cast was following:

Little Red Riding Hood: Ifrah Mariam,
Mother: Ruqayia,
Grandma: Maleeha,
Wolf: Aazib,
Woodcutter: Hisamuddin and
Narrator: Shariq Faraz

Once upon a time there was a little girl named little Red Riding Hood, who lived in the forest with her mother and father. One day while little Red Riding Hood was playing, her mother called out to her and asked her to visit her sick grandma.

Little Red Riding Hood took the basket of food which her mother had given her to take to her grandmother who lived in the deep woods. She was asked not to talk to the straingers on the way. But little Red Riding Hood stopped on the way to pluck some flowers that she could not resist, and what happened? She met the bad wolf.

The wicked wolf planned to eat Little Red Riding Hood, but since there were some woodcutters around, he enquired from the Red Riding Hood where she was going and rushed to her grandma’s house to receive her there.

Grandmother heard a knock on the door and opened the door only to have the bad wolf spring upon her and locked her up in the cupboard. The wolf then got dressed in grandma’s clothes and lay on the bed ready to receive Little Red Riding Hood.

Little Red Riding Hood arrives and gets such a shock to see grandma look so different… The wolf tried to attack the Little Red Riding hood, but luckily the woodcutter arrived.

The woodcutter threw the bad wolf over the hills and saved little Red Riding hood and her grandma from being killed. And they all lived happily without the fear of the wolf ever again.

“What is Red” -poems from 2B

December 14, 2006

I really love the colour red.
It makes me think of jam and bread.
I really love the colour red.
It makes me think about my pet.
My pet loves to fidget with my pencil box,
So, I hide it in the post box.
I hurt my nose,
While looking out for a rose.
It started bleeding
And my mother was cleaning,
the dirty floor.
When I opened the door.
She saw the bleeding nose,
And rushed into the house.
Now, I hate the colour Red
It makes me think about my blood.
(Classpoem)

I really love the colour red,
It makes me think about my bed.
I really love my red bed,
because it is my cartoon bed.
(Omer Farooq)

Oh red! Oh red! I really like the colour red.
It makes me think about my pet.
My ball is red.
When I play with it, I think of the colour red.
When I went out,
my hand got cut.
My friend said: “What happened?”,
but I didn’t tell them.
Now I hate the colour red.
(Aishan)

I really love the colour red,
It makes me think of jam and bread.
I really love the colour red,
It makes me think of my best friend.
I really love the colour red,
It makes me think of sleep in my bed.
I really love the colour red,
It makes me think of my mother’s head.
(Zaim)

Red is my favourite colour,
that’s my dress.
Red is my favourite colour,
that’s my pant.
Red is my favourite colour,
that’s my post box.
Red is the colour of my house.
(Naba)

My bed is red,
I can feel my bed.
I can feel my bed is wet,
I can’t sleep in my bed because it is wet.
(Ismail)

I really love the colour red.
It makes me think about my thread.
I really love the colour red because,
Cinderella wears a gown that is red.
I really love the colour red.
It makes me think about my pet.
