Preparation sports day
From 19 till 28 November Oasis changed from a school into a sport centre. All the students went regularly to the playground to practice sports. Different from last year, all the finals were held before the actual sport meet and there were a lot of different exercises. The semi-finals and finals took place for every grade and all children did the best they can! It starts with Montessori and reception children on the 19th of November. Teachers prepared a lot of exciting exercises; Butterfly Race, Citron race, one shoe race and not to forget balloon bursting! Thying laces around each others leg and running together was fun for the children.
The higher grades did 100 meter runs and even 400 meter races. The physical education teachers didn’t only focus on races, but there was attention for trowing and jumping as well. The children get an explanation and then they could try to trow as an old greek discus thrower! The days were very intensive for the children, especially at the end when the preparation for the 7th annual sports meet was there. They worked very hard to prepair a great day for the parents.
